This is crucial for maintaining the precision of the weld joint.Arc Initiation - The welding system initiates an electrical arc between the consumable electrode wire and the base metal. The heat generated by the arc melts both the electrode wire and the base metal, creating a pool of molten metal.Shielding Gas - A shielding gas, typically a mixture of argon and carbon dioxide, is continuously fed around the arc area. This gas protects the molten metal from atmospheric contamination, ensuring a clean and strong weld.Wire Feeding - The consumable electrode wire is automatically fed into the arc by the welding system. As the wire melts, it contributes to the weld pool, fusing the two pieces of metal together.Welding Path - The robotic arm or automated system follows a programmed welding path along the joint. The path is determined by the specific welding pattern required for the joint configuration.Cooling and Solidification- As the weld progresses along the joint, the molten metal cools and solidifies to form a strong bond between the pieces being joined.Quality Control- Automated systems often include sensors and cameras that monitor the welding process in real-time. This allows for immediate detection of any defects or deviations from the desired weld quality.Completion- Once the welding process is complete, the welded joint is allowed to cool down. The automated system can then be repositioned for the next welding task.Auto MIG welding is commonly used in industries where consistent and high-quality welds are required, such as automotive manufacturing, aerospace, shipbuilding, and more. The automation aspect of the process reduces human error, increases productivity, and ensures that welds meet strict quality standards.

Molybdenum Disulfide

  • Service Description : Accurate edge offers Molybdenum disulfide coating that are Coatings (MoS2 coatings), also known as Moly Coatings are commonly used in applications where load carrying capacity, operating temperature and coefficient of friction are primary concerns. This coating provides effective lubrication in a wide range of loads, in many cases exceeding 250,000 psi. Moly coatings lubricate sacrificially by transferring lubricant between the two mating surfaces, which helps to reduce wear and coefficient of friction. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) coatings are a dry film lubricant. Moly Coating Properties- Moly coating is a combination of molybdenum disulfide lubricant and high performance resins. Molybdenum coatings are thermally cured and thoroughly bonded to the base metal of the coated part. Uses for molybdenum disulfide coatings include applications that require a lubricant that is more unreactive when in use, and remains sturdy. This enables Accurate to blast a wide variety of parts with different media. Abrasive blasting gives you the ability to combine surface cleaning and finishing into one cost-effective process. With abrasive blasting, high pressure is used to propel a stream of abrasive media against a surface to remove contaminants and alter the shape or texture. A wide range of materials can serve as the abrasive blast media, including glass, plastic, aluminum oxide and many others. Typically aluminium oxide 120 mesh or 220 mesh is used to great a fine anchor pattern prior to coating to improve adhesion. Accurate Edge is your source for the best abrasive blasting for metal surfaces and fine finishing. Abrasive blasting offers the flexibility to tailor the process to meet your specific cleaning and finishing requirements. By altering factors such as the type of media, the size of the media particles, the velocity of the blast stream, the angle the stream is delivered by the blast gun, and the distance from the surface when delivering the blast, the user has complete control over the process and the results it delivers. Accurate Edge can achieve anchor patterns as low as 5 to 10 micron.

Everlube Everslik Coating

  • Service Description : We also assist with Everlube/Everslik – Thermally cured solvent based epoxy system with inherent hydrophobic properties allows the coating to repel water and other process fluids. It has outstanding chemical, corrosion resistance as well as being durable, flexible and is extremely tough making it ideal as a primer when used under solid film lubricants eg Ever-Slik 1301. The 1201 is available in black or primer red and is applied by conventional spraying methods with a dry film thickness of 5 – 7 um. Everslik® 1301 (Everlube®). Specially bonded solid film lubricant especially formulated for the heavy-duty industrial market. It provides good lubricity and corrosion resistance and prevents galling and seizing. It has found great acceptance in the petrochemical industry especially on threaded components e.g. actuator stems, valves, pumps, clamps and stab plates. Application can be by conventional spray methods or dip spinning resulting in a single coat between 8 – 25 um.

  • Service Description : Accurate Edge performs case hardening of metallic components up to 50 HRS and 0.060” Induction hardening is a method of quickly and selectively hardening the surface of a metal part. A copper coil carrying a significant level of alternating current is placed near (not touching) the part. Heat is generated at, and near the surface by eddy current and hysteresis losses. Quench, usually water-based with an addition such as a polymer, is directed at the part or it is submerged. This transforms the structure to martensite, which is much harder than the prior structure. The benefits of Induction Hardening is an Increase in Strength and wear life, water resistance, parts maybe tempered altered induction hardening to adjust hardness levels as desired and having minimal distortion
Phosphate Coating Service

  • Service Description : Key properties of Phosphating is the application of a porous crystalline coating usually applied to ferrous-based materials, the process is non-electrolytic with the phosphate layer being produced by catalytic action between the component material and the Phosphating solution, this catalytic action producing an exceptionally strong bond of the phosphate layer to the component surface. The coating produced is crystalline and porous and forms a very good base for subsequent applications. As an undercoat for paints, it dramatically improves adhesion of the painted layer and the application of specialised oils and greases will enhance the corrosion performance of the component or provide lubricity for subsequent manufacturing operations. Accurate Edge offers two types of Phosphating, Zinc Phosphate which gives a finer grain with a wider range of thicknesses being achievable, or Manganese Phosphate which is limited to heavier films. The Manganese phosphate coating also has a different crystalline structure to zinc phosphate, this structure is laminar rather than columns, compressive and imparts greater corrosion resistance and lubricity without the need for additional coating, although these can be specified if required. Manganese phosphate is particularly good for components where “wearing/running in” is required, and because it is a compressive coating continues to offer lubricative properties for extended life.
