In 2020, in partnership with Sheikh Abdulaziz Humaid Alqasimi Green Globe was born in Dubai, UAE. A subsidiary of EKT Group, the company is now the leading manufacturer of PET straps, brushes, and ropes by importing pet flakes from Ethiopia to the UAE. Green Globe takes great pride in distributing the highest quality PET materials specifically designed for customers’ needs across the UAE.
EKT is a renowned East African import, export and manufacturing business. We have built a state-of-the-art post-consumer plastic recycling technology and are the first recycling company to manufacture artificial fibres from scrap plastic bottles into usable products. We work with plastic wastes, food and beverage packing PET bottles, and PP and HDPE rigid materials, converting them to premium quality flakes by employing our unique hot-washing recycling technology. Our products range from polyester straps, polyester monofilament, plastic brushes, and polyester rope. These polyester fibre products are durable, have excellent strength, and are resistant to extreme weather conditions. At the same time, we have created employment opportunities for more than 500 factory employees in addition to creating thousands of employment opportunities for women and casual labourers who are involved in collecting plastic waste.
